To download a copy of the vanilla Minecraft server file, you can grab the latest link from the Official Minecraft Server Download page from Mojang.
Choose whether you want to run a Vanilla or Spigot Minecraft server, and continue with the respective heading/step below. Now, we’re ready to get the needed files. mkdir minecraftĮnter the newly created “minecraft” folder. Make a new directory/folder for our Minecraft server installation within our default “pi” user’s home directory. You can confirm it is setup and installed with the command below. Starting with Raspbian Buster (Debian 10) the default version of Java is OpenJDK 11.
